Moulding The moulding area consists of three loops, one for coremaking and a large and small loop for moulds. We use the Novaset sand binder system and all moulding is boxed for improved quality. The recent addition of a core blower has also improved the quality and speed of our coremaking.
Melting Three electric induction furnaces enable us to melt up to 3.8 tonnes of steel.
Heat Treatment A state of the art top hat gas fired heat treatment furnace provides the full range of heat treatment cycles required. API 6A Approved with agitated quench.
Finishing Finishing processes include: Cutting and Grinding, Shotblasting, Grit Blasting, Pickling, Plating, Proof and Finished Machining. Welding is carried out by ASME IX qualified welders.
Inspection All castings are inspected to the prescribed specification which could include any or all of the following: Visual, Dimensional, MPI, DPI, Ultrasonic and Radiography.
